I love Mexican food and this place is delicious. Fast service and amazing food. The owner(?)/manager was very active out in the dining room and opening doors for guests and getting people seated quickly. Good vibes. I got the Special Jose Burrito. The meat inside was flavorful and tender. The rice and beans on the side are straight up fantastic. If you’re a cheese lover try the Chorizo Queso I come back whenever i’m in town.

So I am out visiting the Portsmouth Ohio area and was recommended highly by locals and one of the managers of this restaurant to stop by and I tried their fajitas! And I am so glad I did. These are the best fajitas I’ve had since 2010. I’ve been on the hunt for a traditional Spanish restaurant that would compete against those amazing fajitas. I had so long ago and I finally found ones that are actually even better! If you’re looking for the best fajitas in the US or happen to work for the Travel channel, you definitely need to stop by and try out these fajitas! I got the steak and chicken and if I lived here, this would be my go to place at least once a week. I’d probably call it fajita Friday lol If I could give this restaurant more stars than five, I would. Also, the restaurant was totally packed and they still brought our food out in a timely manner, and the food was cooked perfectly. The servers were consistent on coming to our table and asking for refills and if we need anything else so for me it was definitely five stars all around.

I’ve been going to Toro Loco for about 20 years. It was there for me when I was in junior high school after practices; it was there for me while I went to Shawnee (the lunch arroz con pollo was almost a daily meal); it was where I had my first date with my now husband (also the same day I had my first legal drink - a Coronarita ); it was the first stop I made when I would visit my now husband while I lived in Cincy; and now, after we both moved to Columbus, it’s still my go-to when we visit my in-laws. Even though there have been changes (prices, chorizo recipe, rude waiters), it will always be in my heart - and now on Google Reviews.

Great fish tacos (as shown), everything tastes great! Very friendly staff, and local college students like me can enjoy a small discount! I highly enjoy this place and would recommend to anyone who likes American style Mexican cuisine.
